Happy Halloween Nintendo fans! Through the years, pumpkin art seems to have grown by leaps and bounds. Through my childhood years, I recall nothing but the typical faces on pumpkins that everyone would carve, but now that everyone can easily share pictures, plans, and outlines, there seems to be a new "crop" of wonderful jack-o-lanterns with each succesive Halloween and a lot of competitiveness among carvers to come up with the most creative and well engineered versions of their subjects. Of course when dealing with Nintendo pumpkins, Mario is naturally going to be the #1 subject of choice. We've decided we'll get him out the way immediately and then we can all enjoy the more imaginative stuff. ![]() ![]() Poor Mario must have gotten a nasty surprise for this one.. ![]() Mario goes back to his 8-bit roots for this one.. ![]() ..and our pick for the best Mario pumpkin goes to this Mario 3 rendition.. ![]() Zelda Pumpkins Compared to a lot of these other pumpkins, some of the Zelda stuff almost seems like a cop-out, being that these symbols are so simple(compared to a lot of this other stuff). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That being said, these next two are the complete opposite.. especially this great Cellda pumpkin! ![]() ![]() Metroid Pumpkins The Metroid upgrade ball is one of the most iconic items in videogame history, and a really cool idea for a pumpkin. ![]() These Metroids are both pretty cool, and fittingly scary for Halloween! ![]() ![]() Other Nintendo Pumpkins This one isn't carved but we were surprised to see such a lack of Boo's ![]() Another one that isn't carved, but Bob-omb is a really inventive idea! ![]() It's Pikachu, the most popular Pokemon.. ![]() and Kirby's nemesis, Metaknight.. ![]() Over the years, Sonic and Megaman have arguably become as much a part of the Nintendo family as Mario and Luigi.. ![]() ![]() Controllers and Logos are very popular too.. ![]() ![]() ![]() If Wiimotes were pumpkins, bowling would be a lot more fun! ![]() ![]() Thanks to everyone for sharing these with us all over the web for the past few years and again,.. have a Happy Halloween!

Another Fall Tuesday means more metric tonnage of games to enjoy, although most of these will be geared to the young ones this week. Over on the DS side, a lot of stuff for the kids and ladies. One thing that has been synonymous with landmark fighting game releases throughout the years has been the special arcade sticks made to go along with them. The upcoming Capcom vs. Tatsunoko is no exception.

When we started hearing about Spiderman Web of Shadows a few months back, we had some really high hopes for the game. We were big fans of the previous Spiderman games, even if 3 was a little downhill.. and the open endedness of WOS seemed like a great idea.
In it's third DS outing, Konami has chosen to largely break the Castlevania mold. Gone is the heroic, whip weilding hero, and in his place is a female magic user. Along with this character change comes som
