I'm loving this one.. using the smoke makes the tattoo fit the body excellently. Sometimes tattoos just look too much like they're popping out of nowhere.
The owner explains..
i've wanted a game tat for a while, and particularly a nintendo one. but getting the right skintone of a character like link or mario would be extremely challenging on my brown skin. all of the sudden i had a realization that samus would work, though. worked with the artist based on a zero mission promo i liked. this is what came of it :)
When the Check Mii Out channel launched early this week, one of our first questions was whether there would be concurrent contests going on, and Nintendo has answered tonight by launching the second Check Mii Out contest.. "a pilgrim from the first Thanksgiving"
Now, we're not sure if that differs from a pilgrim from the second or third Thanksgiving, but we take it they're looking for a concoction resembling these guys.
Frankly we have no idea how people will represent a pilgrim using the Mii tools, being that their prominent features lie almost entirely in their dress(which cannot be altered, aside from shirt color). However.. after seeing some of the downright amazing Mii's this week on the channel, we know we'll be shocked to see that some industrious Mii Makers have devised a way to emulate a top hat, huge white collar, or a farkin' huge belt buckle.
The contest is now underway and has 4 days remaining, so get crackin'!
Many of you are probably familiar with the popular American tv show "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge", and some of you may know that that show is a portion of a Japanese show entitled "Takeshi's Castle". I'm willing to bet that most of you have no idea that Takeshi himself created a series of video games for the Famicom.
Not only that, but one of them.. "Takeshi's Challenge" is easily the most insane, devious, and difficult NES game ever created.
The entire game consists of tasks that no gamer would ever want to subject themselves to, such as singing for an hour(using the Famicom's built in controller microphone), staring at a blank screen for 4 hours(no, really), and playing a side scrolling SHMUP in which the characters avatar can only dodge down. Once you hit the bottom of the screen.. you can do nothing but shoot. Other tasks involve winning a bar fight, and defeating a boss which can withstand 20,000 hits from you.
And the ending to the game? Simply the text "This game is pretty bad, what are you going to do?"
A game like this further illustrates why I'm absolutely obsessed with Japanese culture. I cannot imagine who in their right minds would play through this game,.. but then again I can't imagine who in their right minds would make a show about a monkey dressed like a child riding subways through Japan.. and that was damn entertaining, so who am I to judge?
Check out this video of some poor soul trying to play through the game..
