When it comes to the Wii, Capcom has been one of the major contributors, both in porting their classics like Okami and Resident Evil 4, as well as experimenting with different genre's to see what works.
One genre that has seemed to work spectacularly for them has been the on-rails shooter. As a follow up to their previous installment: RE: Umbrella Chronicles, Darkside Chronicles continues with similiar gameplay while at the same time expanding on the first title's immersion, scope, and depth.

Up until the release of the revolutionary Skate series from EA, the Tony Hawk series was the undisputed king of skateboard games with nothing to prove.
Unfortunately, the immersion and realism exhibited by Skate changed that for many of us, and Activision decided that they needed to take TH in a new direction in order to be competitive. That direction came in the form of this generation's "big thing": motion controls. The entire game is played atop a plastic skateboard laden with sensors in a move that Activision hopes will trump Skate's realism.
Have they succeeded? If the reviews below are any indication, sadly no.
