Trust us,.. we totally get April fools. What we don't get, is why anyone would release an April fools joke in March, and make it look exactly like Nintendo's press site that most people never get to see anyway.
Furthermore, the hoax amounts to nothing more than a let down for the people who end up believing it.. April fools jokes are supposed to let you down first, and THEN lift you back up when you realize it's a joke.
Anyway,.. if you want to check it out, it's right here. Just remember that it's not true. This does NOT appear on the Nintendo press site, it's not well written, and Nintendo doesn't refer to transactions in dollars.
Sorry to be a regular Buzz Killington, but we just don't feel like dealing with the rumor buzz this will insight if left in the wild.
This week, the Virtual Console is in rare form. For one, we get an N64 title, and it's NOT alone!
Secondly,.. this week marks the first Sega Master System game available, though the previously reported 400 point price did not come to fruition. What does the extra 100 points get you? A clone of Adventure Island, a game that's been available for some time now.
Now,.. while it's true that Cruis'N USA isn't the best N64 game that was ever released, we highly recommend it if you were considering buying the Wii version of Cruis'n - the visuals and gameplay seems to be about the same, and you'll save yourself 20 smackers!
