A game that many of you have been enjoying lately, Boom Blox, has been added to the games list. While Boom Blox features no direct online play, it does allow you to create a friend roster using your Wii console code in order to swap your custom levels. So, if you've been on the hunt for new Boom Blox content, be sure to swing over and start adding some friends! We just heard that this game moved over 450,000 copies so far so there should be plenty of you out there!

In an odd move, SNK has sent out a press release to let us know that Samurai Shodown 2 will be available on the Virtual Console this Monday, August 4th for 900 points. It isn't very often that we find out whats coming until the morning it comes, so we wonder if SNK sees this as a way to boost sales a bit.
Also included in the press release is confirmation of Samurai Shodown Collection, a retail title that will include 6 titles for $29.99 and launch in the Fall.
..so as usual.. we recommend you hold out on this one.

If you're either way into Rock Band, or way into crappy music, you might be excited for the upcoming Rock Band Live tour kicking off this Fall.
Scheduled to coincide with the launch of Rock Band 2, the tour will feature co-headliners Panic at the Disco and Dashboard Confessional. Other guest artists include Plain White T’s and The Cab.
So where does Rock Band really fit into this? Fans will have the opportunity to compete in the game, with the winning bands playing on stage between sets.
All joking about crappy music aside, the headlining acts for this tour are insanely popular and their fans fall right into the demographic for the game. We love to see the continued positive impact on the music industry that Rock Band is having,.. as it gives artists new opportunities to pick up fans and distribute their works in an all new fashion that (for the time being) is insulated from the downfall of the compact disc.
Hit the source link for dates and locations @ Ticketmaster(whoever is in charge of listing tours never does a good job of keeping them under one event..)

Over the past few days we've added some things to the site that we feel will help improve everyone's experience. While none of these changes and additions are HUGE, they will help to provide key features to our users that we think everyone will appreciate.
Please note that when we talk about new features we always talk about Firefox first, so anything we mention here may or may not be present or 100% working in other browsers such as Internet Explorer or Safari. (Seriously.. do yourself a favor and use Firefox!)
The first is one you may have noticed yesterday. The "user bar" up top (we don't really have a name for it) now docks to the top of your browser window. This allows you quick access to login/out, and access to all your customized information throughout the site. In time, we plan to expand this feature to include navigation to all major parts of the site, as well as quick access to your dashboard no matter which page you are on.
The second and possibly more significant change is that we've added a "Friends Only" filter to games detail pages. What that means is that while viewing a games detail page, you can apply the filter to show ONLY users you have become friends with in that game. In addition, each user's friend code will be shown below their name, so you can easily manage and compare codes at a glance for an individual game. This should make managing things a lot easier. We figure you can use this to update your friend rosters - it's easy to see who each player is and see who's added you, who hasn't, who you may want to remove, etc. To check this out, just visit a game's detail page. If (and only if) you have any friends in that game, the filter will be an available option above the list of players. This feature was originally suggested in part by user Eratic(thanks!).
And lastly, one minor tweak: we've cleaned up the display of the related videos that are shown on games details pages.
As always, these features are subject to changes and tweaks, so enjoy them and let us know if anything goes awry.

In a rare showing this week, the Wii has over twice as many titles being released than the DS. Out of everything on the list, there's only a few here that would interest us - namely Sam and Max and MLB Power Pros 2008(actually, we're just hoping we'll be able to get the original title dirt cheap!)..continue reading New Release Tuesday: Sam and Max come to the Wii!

As reported earlier, no Strongbad in the lineup this week, but we finally have a list of what IS out, no thanks to Nintendo themselves.
Anyway, on WiiWare, we see the release of the first in the Frat Party line of games - Pong Toss(aka Beer Pong). We've discussed this one before ..continue reading Download Monday: Don't Drink and Drive

Jack Thompson has officially become a parody of himself. We're not sure if he actually realizes that the following interview makes his efforts seem like a complete sham, but if he does, we commend him for at least having a sense of humor about it. Who else do you know that makes a living based entir ..continue reading Jace Hall vs. Jack Thompson

Just as we hoped, Ubisoft will be implementing WiiMotion+ into the sequel for Red Steel. The first game was one of the most anticipated titles at the Wii's launch, and fell very short of delivering the 1:1 swordfighting action we all hoped for.
Here's to hoping that ..continue reading WiiMotion+ confirmed for Red Steel 2
