![]() While the title may not make a lot of sense, this new take on the Metroid series has a lot going for it. It's being developed by the famed Team Ninja- also responsible for the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive titles of the past few years. So what can we expect from Other M? Hopefully a combination of Gaiden and Metroid - action packed combo based combat combined with exploration and ability collection in a semi-open world. It's a big task, but if anyone can pull it off we're sure Team Ninja can. The looks of this game are already fantastic and we can't wait to learn more about Samus Aran's past. ![]() ![]() ![]()
Well, we're back and playing catch up here. We wanted to post a bunch of assets from E3 and give our take on it. So, look for some post E3 impressions for the next day or two. ![]() The screenshots look like you'd expect.. a Wii version of New Super Mario Bros. An added bonus, though, that we wouldn't have expected, is simultaneous 4 player multiplayer. While this is cool, we don't understand the generic Toad characters for players 3 and 4 as opposed to throwing in Princess Peach ala Super Mario 2. Nonetheless, a Mario based 2.5d platformer is exactly the type of thing we've been wanting on the Wii since day 1, and some of the gameplay mechanics seen in the trailer such as freezing enemies to use as platforms, propeller hats, and carrying each other should provide a depth not seen in previous Mario games. We can't wait for this one. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
