There was a time when we were a little disappointed with Harmonix. They released Rock Band months late on the Wii and stripped out many of the important features from it, such as DLC and real time graphics.
Back then, we never would have imagined that they'd do a complete 180.. not only adding DLC and online play to Rock Band 2, but going so far as to backfill their entire library of Rock Band 1 tracks. This week, things are getting serious, with a full 14 tracks available at the usual price of 200 Wii points each.
Rock Band 2 Wii DLC for 3/10/2009
Metallica "Blackened" Metallica "Ride the Lighting" Radiohead "My Iron Lung" Wolfmother "Joker & the Thief" KISS "Calling Dr. Love" David Bowie "Moonage Daydream" The Clash "Train in Vain" Sonic Youth "Kool Thing" Garbage "Why Do You Love Me" Drive By Truckers "3 Dimes Down" Lucinda Williams "Can't Let Go" Neko Case "People Got a Lotta Nerve" Old 97s "Time Bomb" Steve Earle "Satellite Radio"

As the weeks go on, we're still seeing a rather impressive game of "catch up" being played with DLC for Rock Band 2 on the Wii.
This week, Harmonix is dropping 7 tracks from Rush's "Moving Pictures" album. The tracks are out now for the usual cost of 200 points each.
Rush "Tom Sawyer" Rush "Red Barchetta" Rush "YYZ" Rush "Limelight" Rush "The Camera Eye" Rush "Witch Hunt" Rush "Vital Signs"

We haven't been covering it too closely, but now that Rock Band 2 supports DLC, all the previously available tracks have been being added slowly but surely to the Rock Band store. It'll take them quite a while to catch up, but at least they're making more of an effort than Activision is making with Guitar Hero World Tour.. This week's Rock Band DLC:
"Attack" - 30 Seconds to Mars "Gimme Three Steps" - Lynrd Skynrd "Live Forever" - Oasis "Just What I needed" - The Cars "Siva" - Smashing Pumpkins "Tell Me Baby" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
